An Open Letter to Moms, Dads, & Guardians!
In honor of Mother’s Day (May 9) and Father’s Day (June 20) being celebrated this Summer...we wanted to use our platform to put parents and guardians in the spotlight.
Lessy Messy exists with a goal of encouraging safe and healthy family fun, all while supporting moms and dads on their journey through parenthood. We strive to make it easy to embark on adventures, explore the world around you, and grow closer to your loved ones, and we couldn’t make that happen without our loyal customers, many of which are moms, dads, and caretakers.
So, we want to thank you! Thank you for navigating the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with grace and strength. While the world around you felt worried, stressed, and concerned, you put your family first and prioritized their health, safety, and wellbeing. It’s no easy task to navigate a pandemic, but it’s certainly difficult to protect your loved ones, especially little ones, along the way. We appreciate the tireless effort you put towards masking up, using sanitizer, and going the extra mile to keep yourself and your family safe and out of harm’s way.
Many of our customers relied on their Lessy Messy diaper changing pad covers and mats to make clean-up easy and low-risk, and when venturing away from home finally felt safe, they looked to our outdoor mats to maintain a safe distance from others and cut down on travel risk.
No matter what 2020 and 2021 have looked like for you and your family, there’s no doubt you were faced with challenges, encountered difficult decisions, and pushed the boundaries of your comfort zones. We want to take a moment to express our appreciation and gratitude towards all of you who looked to Lessy Messy to keep your family safe and protected. We know that many of you encountered hardships, especially when it came to finances, and the fact that you trusted us to provide you with high quality tools and accessories to make your life less messy is nothing short of an honor.
Whether you followed us on social media, visited our blog, opened our emails, told friends and family about us, or purchased from us through Amazon or our website, we appreciate you immensely.
If we were asked to describe the qualities that shone brightest from parents over the past year, here is what we would say:
Resilient
You took the cards you were dealt and made the most of them. You persevered and fought for the safety of your own children and families in the ways you felt were best. You advocated on behalf of your littlest loved ones, and always tried to put your family first. When things got tough, you got tougher, and persevered through the challenges and obstacles in your way.
Patient
Despite being surrounded by dozens of unknowns at any given moment, you held out hope for your own family and stayed patient during lockdowns, mandates, CDC updates, and more. You didn’t rush into anything your family wasn’t ready or prepared for, and you adjusted to the world around you at a pace you felt comfortable with.
Attentive
Whether you took some of our advice and found time for self care, or zeroed in on the needs of your household, you showed up and stepped up whenever necessary. You paid attention to your own needs and the needs of your family, and did what you could to make sure everyone had what they needed to stay safe, healthy, and happy.
Nimble
You did what was needed, when it was needed. You went above and beyond to make adjustments at home and on the go in order to protect your family, and that is no easy feat. By remaining nimble and agile, you likely kept your family out of harm’s way more times than you’ll know.
We could go on and on, but we think these four qualities capture it best. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for keeping your little ones safe and healthy - always. Children are our future, and as their biggest fans and supporters, we appreciate parents who have their best interests in mind.
